Kunzite woke up with no idea where she was or what day it was. Her gem was cracked, and from this caused severe headaches and memory loss much greater than she expected. Upon reaching the edge of the forest, everything seems different and it comes to her realization (eventually) that more time has passed than she expected. She doesn't know how she arrived in that forest, nor what she was doing prior to arriving there. Her memories are foggy, and it'd be near impossible to remember them with that crack.
Eventually she would meet Steven and the Crystal Gems, get healed, and remember what happened...hopefully.
