Once every year, at the time of the winter solstice, we celebrate the most momentous of the Solar Festivals: the Festival of Light.
In these darkest of nights, we light the purest of lights, in our villages, in our homes in our hearts, celebrating the forthcoming of renowal, and the beginning of a new cycle of the seasons. It is on this day, that no one soul should be alone. And yet...
I am alone.
The fact that my mate broke up with me three weeks ago does not help.
Why can't there be one who will stay with me?
All I want is another soul, to accept me as I am.
Where else shall I go?
What else shall I try?
These thoughts and questions chase one another through that lonesome heart of mine.
So I clasp my hands together in front of my chest, and pour all my feelings, all my hopes and dreams into a prayer that I send out into the starry moonlit night.
"Please, Great Goddess, let me find my vixen."
