tbh I certainly do like her now, at least given the situation of me growing apart from my old fursona.
They do both go by Foxy though, so it can be kinda confusing XD old Foxy or Shay (Shay was her old name before I took to the internet) can go for the other sona :'D

My new/current fursona is meant to represent me in all likeness, so I draw her virtually as close to the real me as possible, like I did in this picture.

And I highly suggest drawing lots more pictures of her, because in my opinion, she has more "charm" than old Foxy does, and that really makes me smile. c:

I made her after a good development of body positivity that led to me being comfortable for accepting me as me and not trying to hide behind a 'perfected' avatar. Drawing her has helped me love myself even more :'D

HAHA I don't bring up the fact that I wear them since they're annoying to draw and I just avoid putting them on characters, but since Foxy is me, I slap them on there. I am nearsighted, so although my eyesight isn't terrible by prescription, the nature of nearsightedness makes it so that I can't see jack shit with clarity past like, several feet.

I don't really have a Bulgarian hometown since I left when I was so young! I was born in Sofia, which is where my mother is from, and my father is from Pleven. Over november I went back to Bulgaria for the first time in 10 years, and Plovdiv was one of the places we visited. I took the picture while in a restaurant overlooking the city, and there was a mother cat and her kittens crawling around the windows to the yard looking to sneak some food haha. We have friends that live fairly close to there; my parents are actually their children's godparents; and we stayed with them a bit while we travelled.

Bulgaria is incredibly charming; we also went to Istanbul for a few days on the way back, which was really nice.

this is cute! I must ask how you draw her so well with penic, the lines came out flawless and nothing is smudged, do you hold your hand a special way to keep away from smudges?

I try to work left to right so that my hand isn't over finished, heavily layered stuff. I also put a clean paper or a transparent sheet/something clean under my drawing hand between my hand and drawing paper so I don't smudge anything!

I need to keep that in mind, I cant tell how many times I left a thick layer of nasty led all over my desk from drawing normally o-o

its way cleaner to use something under your hand, that is a requirement for charcoal work, and a happy perk for other dry media
