Hmm, you should auto contrast the picture of the dog, its slightly off of the contrast of the base pic, then it would be a bit smoother.

I sincerely apologize, I wasn't trying to come off harsh. I think I was a teensy sleep derived when I wrote it. I honestly thought I had written more, because its a very cute pic, which is why i looked and commented. Definately good job in adding the ears into the shadow, something that could easily be overlooked, that adds a lot to the piece.
