Well... after the thrill both for updates in the Ratha's graphic novel work, the mention of a future sixth book, and my approval as co-admin of the fan-group, I started reading back a bit here and there in the books, searching inspiration for some fanarts.

I found a nice fun detail from "Clan Grounds", describing how young males bears their scars (got after mating season) with pride and as a mark of becoming fully adult.

I've played a bit with a random trio of young Named friends:

The copper one appears to be the boasting one (and more successful due number of scars), while the friendly sand-colored one (with treeling) is reassuring and being nice with the golden one (who appears to have been unlucky).

Maybe even suggesting him to take part in future dabbleback riding contests: after all girls have an eye for successful boys in sports, and even if mating season among the Named is not exactly a rational time, the golden boy could gain some more self-confidence and an increased amount of masculine (and smelling) pheromones xD
