I spent a lot longer on this background than probably necessary given how much will be covered by the characters when the picture is finished. It probably took somewhere between 15 and 20 hours to make this thing, I spent an awful lot of time drawing so many spikes and putting in shadows and texture. Buildings are not my favorite thing to draw. I do love how those skulls came out though! They look really video-gamey, if that's an adjective that makes sense.
