Nice... You're right that the original concept has been done at least a few times, but I'd have read it, trying to find a 'hook' that made things a bit different.

The idea may have been done before but I doubt that it's been done with your take on it, which I have to say is rather unique in all the literature I've ever read. If you very decide to work on this idea again, I feel it would be anything but cliche and highly enjoyable.

Are you kidding me!? Yeah, it would've been a lot of work, but shit like this, that's interesting enough, could be picked up by a publisher.

First thing I thought of: Battlestar Galatica

Well now... I would say that would depend more on where you went from here rather than whether it's terribly original.

It has a feel of Blade Runner in it, as well as a few other concepts. For example, you could have made it a mindbender... maybe the rabbit guy ends up believing the other one, only to find out in the end he was created by some other technology, like genetic manipulation... or that he's not created at all, but simply a member of a species that's been separated from the others like himself.

This could go in some many directions from this starting point that I think you should consider continuing it; it seems rife with interesting concepts, if much used ones to start; you could expand it into many different areas of unexplored territory.

Completely cool.
