Here's a vintage photo from the Captain Freeagle DARPA case files, circa 1960. It is remarkably well preserved and captures a moment where a brooding squirrel scientist isn't at all pleased to be caught on camera by the Propaganda Officer from the Department of War. DOW publications such as this photograph were frequently used to inspire Americans to enlist to fight communist powers during the cold war.

This scientist was a group of researchers tasked with the Captain Freeagle project. This shot was taken just a few months before the successful completion of the program.
