Jerrica is an Esper her power is Precognition; but only manifests while writing.

After being rescued she was taken to the Esper Guild Headquarters where she was sealed in an Esper Power dampening Layer Suit and Esper Blocking Bracer that could shut her powers down whenever the personnel of the Guild wanted to until she could be evaulated. During her annual interviews she is required to wear them; or if in a star nation that has strict laws about Espers she must also wear them then as well.
