A quick speedpaint for The Grand Admiral - some of her personal work involves Thirteen Aspects, demigods for one of her various worlds she's created. I thought they seemed really neat :3 I've always wanted to do thematic series (a Tarot deck, the Four Elements, the Seven Sins/Virtues, etc.) but never get around to it, so her aspects really appealed to that part of me. In my concerted effort to do more "non-work" artwork, I agreed to an art trade with her - I had actually intended to do more of a sketch than a speedpainting, but, well... I opened up Photoshop and started painting what was supposed to just be a colourful background, which then turned into clouds, which then turned into nebulas, at which point I decided to embrace the paintiness and just go with it :b It was fun doing something really loose and more abstract for a change :)

Anyway, this was supposed to be The Aspect of Dreams, demigod of dreams, music and creativity. His details aren't terribly apparent the way I've painted him, but he's got a bit of a bearded vulture look that I really like. I might still do a sketch like I originally intended - we'll have to see, though :)
