So this model is a daemon prince of Tzeentch for my Riftwalkers warband, and he's also an experiment 8D This model (the actual prince model, not the horrors) was done almost entirely with nothing but shade paints from the GW line. Still got some work to do with him, but I just love the contrast on this base.

Oooh, just using the inks and a white undercoat works so well. I did my whole tyranid army like that. I managed to win painting contests with it.

If only I ever managed to win the tournaments.

Great work on the colours, i like the contrast between the bright colours of the sorcerer and the little horrors on the base!
Where's the miniature from, anyway?

It's some Reaper Bones thing that came with one of those huuuuuuuuge Kickstarters. A friend and I backed it like...two or three years ago, and I only just now got around to painting him up x3

I kinda remember it, it was a huge kickstarter with, like, a hundred miniatures!
A friend of mine got it, i think im gonna stalk him to see if he still hasnt painted this one xD

So, is this for a Mordheim game? You mentioned he was part of a warband, and that's the only place I've heard that term used in Warhammer.

Also, I've been fiddling around with HeroForge.com and its pretty cool character creation tools recently. Have you ever looked into that site as a source for your miniatures?

I did, actually, and I ordered a model to represent an old dragonborn character x3

Also, it's for 40k, "warband" is actually a pretty common term, it's the term used for the various splinter forces and renegades of the chaos marines

Gotta love the Avatar of Sokar from Reaper. I loved that model, and the army it hails from originally, the Nefsokar. :)

I do wanna try it out with my Pink Horrors, but I like my way of going forward with lots of red/whites and red washes.

Gonna try next year and see if I can convert that one Bloodletter box I got lying around into either Nurgle, Slaneesh or Tzeench.
