This is the Kanzashi I've made to go with my Blue Petal Kimono. The larger one was made today, and took roughly three hours to construct from scraps I had left over from my kimono.
Kanzashi making is a very time consuming hobby. Each individual petal is handfolded and cut, and glued to the base then wrapped with crafting wire to a bobby-pin to be worn as an ornate hair pin.
My last piece of artwork to submit for 2008!
