A young man searching for his dreams, in fear of reaching them.

Buck is the son of the well-known technician Brode in Juron, whose machines and contraptions are mainly used by the High Council and their Prime Enchantress, the Veiled Countess.
His mother died while he was still young, so the little memory he has of her is vague. Still, Buck possesses enough keepsakes that she handed to Brode a long time ago to imagine what she was like - and he is still able to remember her soft and calming voice, with which she sung him to bed.

His favorite keepsake is a photograph of her his father took during one of her dance perfomances. Inspired by this, Buck's one and only dream is to become a dancer as well, like his mother once was.

Brode however wishes him to continue his work in the workshop, once the time comes that he becomes too old to run it himself.
Caught between the love for his father and his mother, Buck tries to satisfy everyone as best as he can, each day forgetting his dream more and more.
