Lately I've been having big troubles with drawing so I started linearting and colouring one my friend Andrea awesome sketches http://0laffson.deviantart.com/gallery/?catpath=/
I figured I could learn something from his exellent lineart so I redrew every pencil stroke in photoshop before colouring him. aaand I'm pretty pleased with the result^^

Oh thanks MAN! (it's allways great when someone finally bothers to compliment on the actual work for a change =P) yea colouring is what I enjoy the most and comes the most natural to me, problem is just that I don't feel compelled to colour this detailed unless the lineart is up to par which it isn't in most my own drawings so this was a nice change. I absolutely love Laffason's artstyle so this was very enjoyable to do.
and for once I actually didn't grow sick of the sight of the drawing when I was done with it which is usually the case^^

Hahaha no problem, dude ^^ (And I so agree with you. As nice as the other comments are, sometimes I love just hearing on the techniques I employ or the choices I made in color or angles ;3) And your passion for coloring work definitely shows! And your work in shading and lighting. The soft glow on the lizard's skin from the background torch is just awesome and adds so much to the feel of the piece.
And that is totally the worst feeling. Luckily it happens less and less the more one does the art thing XD

hahaha yea a certain rat might get mugged, tied up and kidnapped =P such handsome rats allways catch a good prices^^
and thanks, I really enjoyed working on the colouring here sicne my friends lineart was so good from starters. my friend Laffason hasn't decided to make a character of him yet so I figured I'd give him some extra incentive =D however if he doesn't, I think I'll might have to borrow him for some kinky kidnapping senarios. Someone got to supply those guyes at the Castle of Laughter with new victimes =P

I beg your forgivness if I sound rude now, but does it happen often that you grow sick over a finished pic of yours?
I ask this because I think that is not a good emotion to be felt after a successfully done picture

hmmmm let me think... well it's mostly just with comics sicne they take so ungodly long to finish but yea it's mostly because when I've spent so much time with a drawing that I have impossible high hopes for the reception and yea... well sicne I don't post as often my new drawings have a recent tendency to not commented on. which ofcourse leads again to me beeing confirmed that I have a right to be upset and so on.
but yea Im starting to learn not to put much hopes up for that many comments anyhow. it's not like I'm commenting or posting very often these days anyhow

hm i see. I think I can understand how you feel. One joins such an artistic community for the reason as well to receive good and interesting comments. And if there are just a few, the motivation decreases quickley. I must confess that it would be the same with me to if that would happen to me
