I wanted to test out Vector graphics. So yes, the entire lineart was done with vector lines, making scaling the art easy and keeping the line quality maxed. In fact when I first exported this from illustrator, I decided to keep it at maximum rendering the lineart and 10k by 8k or something pixels. Mistake though, It ate up 6 GB of RAM in psd XD.

This was something I made a while back but kept it under wraps until I felt ready to post it. Now here it is though. :)

Updated design for 2015/2016. I realize I keep changing his necklace design, I can never be satisfied with it. His general design however is most likely not going to change, but I may redo some of this stuff if I feel it warrants another one.

Also I've been thinking of giving my sona a name. Like a character name and not just a reflection of my username... What do you think of Tyraezel? Should I? I dunno yet.... I'll keep use this name for the time being unless I change my mind.

He is primarily a platigrade, meaning he walks flat foot, but runs digitigrade. The split tail is prehensile and he can grab objects using his tail.

TheAngelDragon is part of a race of dragons from the planet Tudey (Too-Dee or 2-D), called 'Angel Dragon" with the element affinity of light. Actual light, not magic fantasy light, because light does not heal people, try shining a laser on an open wound and tell me if it heals quicker. :| Regardless, his power is over light, like all dragons, he can focus his breath and energy and produce highly concentrated bursts of radiation (think laser beam) to burn his foes. Since his element is light - or more generally (I'm gonna start getting nerdy here), electromagnetic radiation (EMR), he is not limited to the visible spectrum of the light you know, in other words, Radio waves, microwaves, infrared, visible light, UV, X-Ray, and Gamma Rays are all part of his elemetal affinity. This means he can produce, and is immune to all forms of ill effects of EMR.

General info on the Dragons of Tudey and the secrets of the Zoi:

Dragons of Tudey gain their elemental affinity through a seperate form of energy called Zoi (Z-ohy, not Zoh-eee, like 'Soy' with a 'Z'). Zoi is a third form of energy present in the universe in which Tudey resides in. Zoi, is what is known in this universe, as a form of "pseudo energy" as it lies as a form between pure energy, matter, and the fundamental forces of nature and has the unique ability to behave as any one of them depending on how it resonates. Zoi exists throughout this universe, at its neutral, non-vibrational state, the zoi is almost essentially undetectable as it does not behave as a detectable form of matter or energy. Depending on how the Zoi vibrates, it can temperorily behave as a certain form of matter, or energy or force. As such, angel dragons like all dragons of Tudey, have a biological make up that allows them to take advantage of the Zoi, by having the cellular structure that is align with the Zoi resonance frequency of electromagnetic radiation. In a similar fashion, all dragons of Tudey have biological structures that gives them them the ability to resonate the Zoi at the resonant frequency of their native element.

Zoi can be manipulated electrically being weakly interactive to charged particles, i.e. electrons. As such, a dragon only needs to think about using his elemental powers to use them, though the focal point of all their Zoi is in the breath. The Zoi doesn't resonate forever however. Metal dragons for example, can manipulate the Zoi and form metal structures, but unlike regular matter, Zoi-matter or 'Zatter' has a a decay rate of:

Where Z is the amount of Zatter remaining, Z0 is the initial amount of Zatter, t is time, e is euler's number and Ω is the Zoi constant.

Thus, Zoi based matter (or indeed energy or force) decays exponentially with time and over time, the Zoi returns to a neutral state, or a frequency of zero*, not resonating and thus not behaving as a form of "pseudo matter". This allows the Zoi to eventually be used in other forms by resonating in other frequencies.

*this is in fact not entirely true as there will always be fluctuations due to the limit imposed by the uncertainty principle, but in practice, we can assume they average out to zero as these fluctuations tend to be small and thus, negligeable.

The Necklace:
The orb is made of a special carbon based crystal that can store resonant "memories" of the Zoi. The crystal does this by "reading" certain frequencies of Zoi and this causes the internal electrons to be displaced in a way that "stores" the information regarding the resonance state. As such, the orb can be used as a means of keeping physical information. Since every dragon carries their own orb and each dragon also carries a unique resonance frequency of their own that which they are born with (like fingerprints), the Zoi can be used to capture the "Zoi signature" of other dragons (or even other creatures). If two orbs exchanges this information, they can be resonated remotely through Zoi entanglement, a phenomena which allows information such as sound and light to be transmitted between two dragon parties, allowing for an easy means of communication.

Other trivias:
I do not consider him a hybrid of an angel and a dragon, I just call him that because "light dragon" sounds weird. In the same way an angel fish or a tiger shark or not hybrids. He is also not an anthro in a traditional sense. He is highly intelligent and live in societies almost like a normal human, but he does not have the body of a human, he has a long serpentine body in fact. I may actually draw a "true" anthro version of him in the future. For now, he is just a bipedaled plantigrade dragon. Maybe I'll also draw a "true feral" if that makes any sense at all.

Also for the science savvy, yes, I did in fact loosely based the Zoi off of string theory, it allows me get around the idea of magic, without actually introducing magic.
