To me, the original Telesdon always looked like he had this sniveling, weasely look to him, while the Powered version looks a bit more cunning and menacing. He is a bit of an "anti-Ultraman" character, where Ultraman is a being of light, Telesdon is a creature who prefers lurking in the shadows.
