In direct relation to the Fulgori, the Mikwa show affection by bumping their huge snoots together~
Their genders are left deliberately vague, but I guess you could assume the blue one is male and the purple one is female if you want. Or they could both be guys, or both be girls. or hermaphrodites. Maybe.
