Hey! This is another sort of update, disguised in the form of a cute puppy
This month has been pretty stressful. As I said in my last journal, we had to make the hard decision to put our 11 year old basset hound to sleep on the 12th of November. I'm still sort of struggling with the fact that he's gone...
Our other dog, Shiloh, was very depressed after Rusty passed. For a few days it was hard to even get her to eat. We still have our two chihuahuas so she's never been the only dog in the house, but neither of the chihuahua's like her much and she's too big to play with them.
We decided to get her a new friend, another basset hound since my family is partial to them. We almost immediately fell in love with this little guy.
After driving 4 1/2 hours to get him, and then 4 1/2 hours on the way back, Copper is now the newest member of our family!
Copper's a wily little guy. He's pretty much fearless and very curious. He keeps trying to explore under the bushes in our front yard, and he wants to eat Shiloh's food so much that he winds up pushing her bowl stand out of the kitchen while trying to reach it.
I am so exhausted right now with this new pup, though I love this little dude. It's wearing me out, though, keeping Copper in line and trying to do other things like chores or drawing and writing. It doesn't help that he likes to chew on cords. I can't wait until he's old enough to really romp around with Shiloh and go for walks downtown!
On a less stressful note, I've just started seeing a psychiatrist and I'm really hoping that it will help with my OCD and other mental health issues. I brought up executive dysfunction to her and she's of the agreement that I struggle with it. She recommended trying to get on a stricter schedule, and I'm going to do my best to try and abide by that.
I'm like working on several commissions at once to try and finish more in a shorter period of time. Thank you guys again so much for your patience and understanding.

We're sure ahahaha
He came from a person who exclusively breeds basset hounds (and he's a bit too short in the leg for a bloodhound, though he definitely does look like one cut off at the knees lol)
His father
His mother (and father)
