I don't know a whole lot about him, but the moment I saw this in a Mischief Makers Let's Play I LOVED it! It's so amazing looking and creative. =D

Mischief Makers is a game I really hold fond in my heart. I am likely one of those few who loves the idea to attack enemies by just throwing stuff at them and this game was a god-send back then. To this day I never really encountered a game that made throwing items/enemies around A: As fun as it was there and B: The main/sole way of directly attacking your opponents. The shake mechanic was a huge plus although it confused me a little. Nevertheless...shake for bigger missiles? Heck yeah!
Looking it up I assume you're talking about the word that has the Yellow Diamond?
It apears it's "Dire" and it turns into "Lucky"

It's certainly pretty fun once you start, the shaking mechanics and grabbing are a lot of fun in general, and there are unique twists in a lot of levels where you'll use them to mix up items, uncover secrets, etc.
A big part of the game is perfecting each level, getting S-ranks as I recall is optional but the gold gems all count towards the best ending, or rather all of the ending.
I also just love the boss battles.
