I miss the sun so much... birdsong, warm breezes, rustling leaves...
I always suffer from seasonal depression but so far this year it's hitting harder than I expected to feel it, particularly because I'm on medication. Now I'm apathetic and rigid and tired and stuck in this schedule of eat, sleep, work, repeat. Things stop being enjoyable and become chores, and I find myself staring into space just because it's better than making myself do something.
I just need the sun back, right?
Or is it something else I've forgotten?

Even in winter the sun is still there. Its a little further away, and sometimes it forgets to say hello, but its there... You just have to remember to look for it n.n Its interesting tho, even if you can't see the sun, or feel its warmth, you can find the warmth in other things too! Like, the way the air smells when its cold, or the feeling of a good warm blanket, the blues and reds in the world you hadn't been able to see in the warmer months... So you see, the sun is still there, he's just a little tired this time of year, so sometimes he forgets to give you a hug. :)
I find that in the winter its best to look forwards to things that we don't have the privilege of seeing for the rest of the year. After all, winter only lasts so long. The sun will always come back. So, why not love and enjoy what we're given while its still around? Winter can be beautiful too, you just have to remember to look for it. And the sun will always be there. <3
Yeah, the day to day can sometimes seem like an endless cycle. But then that cycle ended before, and it will end again this time. Just gotta keep riding on, and finding that moment that makes it just a little more tolerable. That break in the clouds, a warm spot in your heart, a moment of solace away from the things that wear you down.
Aww, I really enjoyed seeing that warm glow in your drawing there. Even as I'm here awaiting the moment I can go to bed and sleep away the remnants of today, I can at least appreciate that last-minute decision of delaying rest just a little longer because it gave me the chance to see that picture before I do. Thank you!

I'm one that prefers winter to summer (its summer down here, btw).
There are enjoyable things in summer. It might be true that the sun hides and is harder to feel it but winter has its own pro's too.
Instead of trying to reach for the sun so bad, try to embrace the little things that autumn and winter can offer: A warm beverage in a rainy day, saying warm in bed, cuddling with a teddy, contemplating the falling leaves of autumn or the snowfall of winter (if applies, the only time it snowed here since I'm alive I couldn't enjoy it), etc.
In any case, and as I said, I'm one that prefers winter, and your picture kind of reminded me of that season. It looks really good, and sure transmits a feeling.

This work feels like bursting out of the doors to the morning spring air.
Refreshing. Being outside in the sun always helps me, too. Like I'm some kind
of solar panel that soaks up positive energy from sunlight. It always makes me happier
and relaxed. (It's why I open the curtains when Everyone leaves.
WHy does no one in my house like the sun?)

Hi Kitten, a lot of people suffer from seasonal depression. What seems to help some people is putting in a sun lamp (full spectrum) in a place they spend time in. The light seems to help with the condition and boosts production of vitamin d in your body. Hope you get feeling better hun.
You need to try light therapy! Its basically the same thing as sitting, staring into space except, there's a lamp that helps your body generate all that sweet happy making vitamin D. As far as I know its the usual treatment for people who suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder aka the winter blues.
