Lyra had a big fun night playing with her friend Molly the Golden Retriever! She got all slobbery and gross so I gave her a bath and a good brushing and of course I couldn't resist getting some pictures of her in front of the backdrop!
My furbaby is getting so big, it's crazy! She just hit 5 months today. Last time we were at the vet she weighed in at 17.2lbs(she was 8lbs when we got her at 2 months), if I had to guess she's probably 20-21lbs by now and stands in at 18" a the withers. She's a tall one, just like her mother!
I can definitely see the bearded collie coming out in her now, her fur just keeps getting longer and longer. She has a grooming appointment at the end of the week to clean up that scruffy face of hers =P

Honestly, I never thought I would have one. I've always dreamed of having a malamute but a friends sister rescued Misty, Lyra's mother and didn't realize she was pregnant. We went over to check the pups out and fell in love with her. She's been a dream puppy though, super easy to train and very friendly to people and animals! Couldn't have asked for better =]
