There’s so much of you my bed has kept,
Lingering scents on the side where you slept.
Now these sheets hold nothing more,
Than memories lost to the time of yore.
Your warmth replaced with cold instead,
Too many pillows – only one head.
The lamp that lifted the shroud of night,
No longer seems to shine as bright.
But I’ll never forget that beneath these covers,
Once had laid a pair of lovers.
People think that because you made a decision, meant that it was easy.
I hold no more inspiration to do anything creative anymore. My dreams and desires to become an artist are now as empty as my bed.
