I was going to write something about how confusing it is to be a traditional artist (lots of commissioners but almost no favorites and getting comments is like pulling teeth) but I'm tired of the explanations and I'm just ready, after eight years, for my art to kind of sort of take off just a little online. Watching unfinished digital doodles with no backgrounds get tons more attention gets to be really disheartening after almost-a-decade. Seeing dreadfully horrible comics get huge after just a page is outright depressing.

It's weird. I'm thankful for what I've got (especially for commissioners like  thadrex here who seem to really like my stuff), and I am grateful for the attention I do get but man sometimes the numbers just stare me in the face and it wears me down a bit. That's ok to say right? I'm not going to lose followers because I get frustrated and vent a little bit right? I don't draw dumb vent art of characters bleeding and moping; that shit's inane.

Just feeling the weight of the years.
