A little background, first.

I am a photographer at the Florida Aquarium. That being said, sometimes I do the photography for our "Swim with the Fish" program.

Recently, one of the eels has taken to swimming around during these events...and for some reason, he seems to like me. Well, at least he tends to hang around me a lot.

Now, I don't have any problem with eels. I do, however, tend to give quite the start when I happen to glance to my left...and there's an eel less than a foot away, swimming right towards me!

Fortunately, I had time to take this picture, and get out of his way.
