My nickname for a pristinely pretty woman among lots of medievally grunge and mud is "Danaerys." It's sort of like Monty Python and the Holy Grail; how do you know she's Khalesi? And there's a lot of this with barbarian types, so I kinda like trying (though not necessarily succeeding mind) to go the opposite direction, drawing or painting someone who is seriously bad news no matter how even-featured.

The chewing-on-your-shield thing is something I got from the Isle of Lewis chessmen. Look 'em up if you've never seen them - it's like the most awesome looking chess-set ever!
