It's from a monster movie, sort of like Godzilla, that terrorizes Denmark and only a United States colonel can save the day. The movie was really just an enticement for Americans to visit Denmark.

Tell me about this guy. Is he the Jerry Lewis of Denmark?

i guess you can call him that, he is a very unique character in Danish movies, but he didn't seem happy being typecast.

It was actually a clip from the vaunted monster flick "Reptilicus" - the first, last and only monster film done in Denmark.

Would explain it, I stayed away from it. Dirch Passer movies are usually corny, but when he starts to sing in a monster movie, you know something isn't right.

Dirch Passer is pretty much THE iconic actor for danish comedy and movies. Though he is long dead now. He lived from 1926 to 1980.
