Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (SMS): Underground Zone NES mix
It’s been a while since I did a Sonic cover. Even longer since I did an unmodified NES cover.
That’s right! This is pure 2A03 music, no Konami VRC6! This is what the 8-bit version of Sonic the Hedgehog might’ve sounded like on the Nintendo Entertainment System!!
As you might expect, I used the drum samples from the 16-bit version of STH and took advantage of the ability to change the duty cycle of the square wave channels for an electric guitar like sound.
