Leethar's m91/30

An old m91/30 I grabbed at a pawn shop on a road trip once. It's all I have with me at the moment, so I'm trying lovingly to restore it. Chamber's having some trouble, cycling the bolt gets rough to say the least.
Izhevsk 1931 all-matching serials, bore's nice and shiney if anyone was wondering.

^_^ I do hope the restoration does come out great~
might if I ask how much you paid? just out of curiosity
Congrats on the Finn Nagant. Those things are awesome.
in 49 someone carved their initials into it. it's VERY nice and has SMOOTH bolt action
he prefers to use E-Talon ammo, not because E-talon is that good, but it's match quality and every bullet is within .0001 on ALL specs of each other. Extremely consistent.
there is also some Tungsten steel core ammo that'll punch a quarter sized hole right through 1/2 inch plate steel
Another problem could be some cosmoline in the chamber, this can be easily cleaned out by something like low odor mineral spirits, which is what I use and never really had any problems.
Yeah... I couldn't bring my self to believe internet rumors and put Windex with Ammonia down the barrel.
and bore cleaning compound? Nope, have not had any experience with that.... yet, sorry!
Also, apparently there are a LOT of gunnuts around. Go fig.
I think I may have some cosmoline stuck up in there, but I took apart the whole assembly more then once to no avail.
Good look with your rifle, its a tack driver :D
Cheers,
