Varanis seldom enters bodybuilding competitions, what with his ability to just increase his muscle mass nearly at will with his curse, it just would be unfair to others that actually -work- for their bodies. Still, enough friends managed to talk him into entering, and he toned down a bit so as not to blow away all the competition, giving his friends what they wanted. Keep in mind, these are the same friends that are obsessed with speedos (you know who you are gentlemen, I shall not name you). Since 7 seems to be a mystical number to begin with, it only makes sense that he chose that as his entry position, and Viola!
On a side note, despite being a muscular character, Varanis doesn't often appear in bodybuilding/traditional flexing pictures, as I feel it's overdone, but in this case, I wanted to do one that actually borrows a seldom-used pose (in the Fandom) for flexing, taken from a reference by none other than the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. I dare you to go find it!
