Somebody's going to shred me for this. Here's some furry Silmarillion fanart for you, where Nienna and Yavanna weep and sing over the grassy hill, Ezellohar, just before the birth of the Two Trees that bring light into the world.

I'm fairly happy with the painting- it looks like a REALLY REALLY bad fantasy book cover or something. I know some of my proportions are off (live and learn). The imaging is not completely representative of what it looks like on paper. It looks far too gritty and many of the midtones appear too light - overall it's less subtle. On the other hand, this "version" is a bit more lively.
