the orphan: leanara the chosen, she has served the blind ones for the shortest time yet has exerted the most control and influence over the cult with the exception of elgaras. the likely reason for her quick influence and ascension to the council is her potent ability to alter and control the minds of others; though the latter can only be performed on the weak minded. elgaras of course knew what she was doing, but let her continue as her power would prove very useful to the council.

the pet: kirdan the eastern, captain of the vanguard of elders. kirdan's role among the council is to lead the vanguard of the elders which is intrusted with the safety and wel being of the elders, leanara after meeting him took quite a liking to him and enjoys altering his mind, kirdan though has a very strong will and is able to resist most of leanaras powers, though alternatively her seat on the council of elders gives her a power which he cannot resist, he is forced to bow before her and follow her every command. of late kirdan has grown distant and volitile, his position as captain of hte guard has been brought into question and he will be swiftly and brutaly reprimanded.
