This is my first piece of digital art using my tablet and gimp. I believe I have the basics down, but still have a long way to go. For practice I used my own fursona and dressed him up in what im wearing today: Sweat pants and a white t-shirt.

right now it looks like your pressure sensitivity is set to opacity. try seeing what switching it to line width can do for you :)
also, coloring in gimp is great, but for drawing I'd recommend opencanvas. version 1 is free and easy to find, and I feel like the tools get a much more natural look.

I got version 2.6 for free, and it works great. It didnt help that I didnt know what layers were and where the toolbars were located. Plus I tried to get an opinion from a friend so I had to change it to a .JPEG which messed up all my layers, and kinda screwed up my overall plan for it.
Im working on another one now. Its a lot faster to work on gimp than on paper.
