Humans live in small towns made from prefabricated building parts that fell during the accident on the Albatross. The buildings have self contained heating and cooling systems and a self contained stock of food. They also power themselves and have entertainment and living quarters. There are larger more communal buildings and round military tents mixed in with them.
The humans are in small number, so they live in a close knit population, sometimes with Mikwa sharing their homes and marveling at their interesting amenities. The Mikwa have taught humans what can and can't be eaten, so they have a very pleasant relationship.
