8 Year Improvement
by CollarMe
One of the first pictures I ever drew digitally back when I used a mouse and MS paint, in 2007 when I was 10 years old. (Right, Full Image)
A redraw I did of it in 2011 using either GIMP or Paint.net, when I was 14. (Middle, Full Image)
Redrawn a few weeks ago, now that I am 18. (Left, Full Image)
So now, everytime I'm upset because I feel like I suck at art, I can just go back and look at all the cringe-worthy art from my younger years and cry about it. But I can do so knowing that while I may not be the best, I am have most certainly improved and I could always be worse.

Heh, the improvement here has to be one of the most noticeable I've certainly seen. Then again, most of these aren't over a 8-year basis. But every artist, to get good, most have practice. And you've certainly done well for yourself.

in truth my own personal growth is the hope my art goes the OTHER way around.... where over time my art just becomes even more stick-figure crayon art like...... that '2007 art' is the sort of art i make as an art-gene..... where i am just hoping my art personally decays to be even MORE crayon stick figure like with time
