Here we have our first chapter of Zynara's tale. She goes through a lot in this chapter, and as usual she will have much to go through before she is done.

Jane takes inspiration from a combination of two entities; Jane Goodall and Jane Porter, the latter of which I claim no ownership of.

As usual, there are some legal nonsensicals that are required because people are not nice and sometimes you have to put your foot down a little harder than you should have to.

Zynara is mine and is going to stay that way. Doctor Burroughs is also mine. Harry and Sally are mine.

The artwork (the tiny drawing of Zynara above the story) was drawn by  Vexstacy and I do recommend giving her gallery a peek. The inspiration and creation of hydrogryphs is hers and hers alone, I only take credit for expanding on them and fleshing them out with this story.

That said, she created Zynara with the statement that nobody would be allowed to make one without her say-so, and I will continue that to ensure both a: the integrity and standards of the character are maintained and b: certain plot points remain undisturbed for later planned chapters.

Those who choose to ignore those rules will find themselves on (Futurama) Santa Claus's naughty list.
