Belar is my first "side character" and was created for fun through an artistic freedom project. This is an updated final image from an earlier posting, and this picture is with flat colours.)

Belar is a brown chimera daemon with dark coloured limbs. His name is taken from one of the first people he encountered near the Catalonia region of Spain who liked to joke at his early attempts to speak a human language as well as his hooved appearance. The word "Belar" is an onomatopoeia for the bleating sound a goat makes in the Catalan language. Not much is currently known about his origins, and he does not remember anything before his early encounters with humans. He is a friendly, very curious, and outgoing critter that loves to observe people and things up close. He is good at hiding, but poor at disguising his appearance. His wings cannot provide a standing lift, but they can assist in a controlled glide. He is a digitigrade bipedal creature that seemingly has assembled traits of various other critters such as hominidae, daemon, chiroptera, ornithurae, bovidae, felidae, and who knows what else. <placeholder for future information>
