Sparrows are nice and yeah that looks like a wren. (It's amazing to see rarer songbirds though like Blue Jays and Cardinals).

This reminds me of a scene from "Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai." Although he too was a lover of a nature, and the bird he spotted was at the tip of his silencer of a sniper rifle. Still, it seems to fit, an equally lovely scene.
