She looks nice. I admit I've only played one of the Spyro series so I'm curious how many of the series' characters ended up in Skylanders.

I think it was just Spyro and Cynder, anyway they were shoehorned into those games to have a famous mascot in them. I'm not going to say Skylanders is a bad series of games, but they definitely aren't Spyro games.

I'd definitely recommend checking out the original 3 Playstation games as they are the best games in the series by far. If you want to check out more A Hero's Tail is also good, enter the dragonfly is a buggy mess from what I've heard. As for the Legend of Spyro series They're beat em ups instead of platformers. The first one is mediocre to decent, and the 3rd game is a very competent and downright gorgeous God of War clone. I've been wanting to play the 3rd game again but forgot my power cord for my PS3 when I moved which is why I drew Cynder with her look from the 3rd game instead while I wait to get a replacement.

When it comes to the second Legend of Spyro game I'd honestly say all of the elements were just as good if not better than the first game except the gameplay. Someone thought it would be great Idea to up the difficulty from the first game, and the platforming didn't work half of the time. It is an unfair and tedious slog from start to end because of it's gameplay alone.

Skylanders has been a fun series but Activision is doing with it what it does with all their other properties and it's already an expensive series even without the yearly releases. But yeah Spyro (and Cynder to a lesser degree) was used just to get people to play the first one- Spyro himself will probably not get his own game again or play a major role in Skylanders until the series crashes.

Thanks for the recommendations and I'll have to check them out since one of my housemates did get a PS3 earlier in the year (it was the only system we were missing).

Legend of Spyro 3 Dawn of the dragon is the only one on PS3 and it is rare. The rest were on the PS2

We've long had a PS2 so that wouldn't be an issue (and since one of my housemates wants to get a PS4 at some point Live might have some of the games if I can't find the discs).
