Coyote Mask

Ahh, four years after the Coyote mask, I ended up making a coyote mask for Halloween. This one is based on the animal itself rather than the folk hero / totem / archetype.
This was part of a fun project I did toward the end of a season of field biology. Our crew worked in the grasslands and I made a series of masks of animals we'd seen during the summer. This one was mine, of course. ;)
Vast improvement over the technique I used on the old masks. This was made with paper mache, just like the more recent fox mask.
I added the rips in the ear to help it read more as coyote since otherwise people tend to assume "wolf", but people regard coyotes as ragged animals.
Lots of fun! I'm tempted to make these to sell, but I'm not sure what the interest level would be. And they are somewhat time consuming.

As the other yotes have said, this is top-notch work. You nailed the general look of a coyote. If anyone nistook it for a wolf I would be disappointed in them lmao.
