The door opened up before Sabi closed it and locked it. She scanned the door with her omni-tool and nodded satisfied "Right, now for hen" she said to herself. Around the corner, stucked away, her bike was waiting. She removed the cover and sat down before she started it up. It made a humming sound before it started to float a bit above the ground "Oke, lets get going". The bike hummed louder before it rose higher and she flown off to Hen's place.
The "drive" to Hen didn't take long, Sabi had taken the shortest route to Hen's apartment, this thanks to the visits and the times she picked him up from his place. Lowering the bike to the ground, she deactivated it and looked up at the apartment "Well, lets see what he has to tell me". Walking in and taking the elevator up. Once at the right floor, she got off and walked to the door. Since Hen mentioned the door was open, she touched the console and headed inside "Hey, I'm here" she called as she looked around. She smirked a bit as she saw the place still as messy as always and walked up to the couch. Tossing off some old pizza box, she sat down and waited for Hen to come out of the shower so they could have a talk why he was acting all strange.
Sabi was just waiting on the couch before she heard a door slide open and saw Hen standing chest exposed in the opening. She had a small smile for a second but quickly hid it.
“Uuh, hey chick... sorry about tha; felt pretty dusty, like... coffee?” He apologised and asked, as he claimed one of his shirts off of a clean, yet jumbled laundry pile.
She nodded lightly at his question "yes, that would be nice" she told him "But don't take too long about it, oke" she asked as she shuffled a bit on the couch to sit more proper. This time she wasn't here for "fun", she wanted to know what was going on with him acting all different, even now he seemed off.
Sabi watched hen walk off to the kitchen and let out a soft sigh "So...how is the eye?" she asked as she leaned all the way back on the couch "Does it still hurt much?" Looking around the place a bit, moving her mandibles as she waited for Hen to return with the coffee.
“Uh yea, no... it’s all good, serious... I keep forgetting it’s even there, like...” He laughed softly. Sabi moved her mandibles slightly as she took in his words about his eye. Watching him come over, she took the mug in her hands before Hen sat down.
"So uh... so... you good? Like... Everythin’ ok chick?”
"No, I'm not oke because I am worried" she set the mug down and turned towards hen "Worried about you and you know it". Her mandibles spread out as she talked "You been acting...strange, distant, normally you would be so relaxed and happy but it's like you are another person". She scooted a bit closer and reached her hand out to his "I care about you...[small]us[/small]...don't pretend like it's nothing".
Sabi gasped and pulled her hand back as Hen suddenly got up quick, spoiling coffee on the way.
Fuck Sabs, I... ugh... how do I even? I mean...”
She looked more worried as he started to move a bit.
“Shit, I mean to say... I care about you too Sabs, but... like; so I tried to take a step back so I wouldn’t hurt you...“
"Hurt me?" She blinked and shook her head "Hen, why would you hurt me". The vibe Hen was giving off made her a bit uncomfortable "I know how you and you know how..." she stopped in mid sentence before continuing"...I am, Hen, w...what do you mean with...taking a step back?". The feeling she had with where he was going with this was sending shivers up her spine.
“Sabi, I... I can’t be that, like... I can’t let myself get that close to someone again, I just... I thought that if I could distance myself a bit... try to just be there for you as a friend; not romantically any more, then... but, uh...”
The vibes Hen was giving off and the words he spoke hit Sabi like waves. She loved him, she would give her heart but now. Sabi's eyes started to water a bit "Not any more" she said soft as she looked down. Her mandibles moved slightly before she looked up "DID YOU EVEN LOVE ME AT ALL" she shouted as the tears ran down her cheeks "How could you say that, after all we been through". She rubbed away the tears but they kept running "I thought...even though...with the others you...you" Her eyes closed as she held her chest.
Before he could respond, she looked up, her face spoke for itself, heavy tears together with a deep sad expression "I loved you Hen...." her mandibles trembled "I LOVED YOU" She screamed loud before turning and running to the door. She basically squeezed herself through as it was just opening; leaving only the sounds of crying echoing from the hall once she got out.
