This commission was done by the incredibly kind 
Airaly! I am still amazed by this image and the sheer detail they were able to pack in, as well as the various story ideas it gave me based just off of the background! The title is actually due to the aforementioned as I view the solid black shadow behind him as the remnant energies of the Shift just as he has come through, likely to startle someone with that big 'ol grin on his face. They also managed to make him far too adorable, even though I thought he already was with how he has been rendered previously!
