Brief insights; flashes of inspiration and sensations that have long passed. Memories touch my mind in cool waves as they trickle in, pushing through the barrier of death when the veil is unbearably thin. A sleight of hand, the stinging touch of steel against mortal flesh, crimson spraying across expanses of shimmering white.
Indescribable anguish. Unbridled fury. The hollow pang of a purpose forgotten.
Decades? Centuries? Millennia?
Time has lost its meaning. Or perhaps it never had one. How can I know how long I have spent wandering and wondering when I have lost all concept of being in the first place?
