Like a charm, it works! (I keep a pair of red 'n blues next to the computer, just in case somebody posts something like this.) I didn't realize you could do red/blue 3D on a color picture, thought it only worked in b&w where there isn't any color to interfere with the effect.

Yes, it can be done. In fact, several 3-D movies released in the 1950's, like House of Wax, were shot in Technicolor ™ and used the red/blue process ("anaglyphic" is the technical term -- use it to impress people :) ). But it is very tricky and I made several revisions to this piece in order to get it looking right. This was designed as a poster and, frankly, the print version does not work as well as the on-screen version (subtractive vs. additive color). If you don't get the color balance just right, the 3-D illusion simply does not work.

I had a great time at MFF -- hosting the Pony Party on Saturday night and getting to meet Svengoolie were just two of the many highlights. Details in a future FA posting. I definitely hope you can make it out there next year!

My DVD of Coraline came with R&B 3D glasses that made the movie look like mud when I tried to watch the movie through them.
