Some of you may have seen pics of a certain fox head that Hongyi made a while back. It was stated to be for a full suit. Well here is the rest of it. Yes, it was I who commissioned such a thing. Now the most expensive pile of vinyl that I own. Also the most interesting, the most titillating, and among the cutest!
I guess I can say that I'm actually thrilled with it!
I do have some complaints though. For one, the number of chambers (10) is a little ridiculous and unnecessary. Especially considering the fact that I asked for things to be two chambers. (Body/head chamber and tail chamber.)
The number of chambers made removing safety valves difficult and time consuming. That coupled with the fact that the #2 valves on this thing are the deepest I have ever seen! I had enough valves on this toy to both pioneer and perfect a new safety valve removal technique involving a #15 scalpel blade! It works like a charm!
The valves are not bad though. They actually look extremely tough!!! Very good quality by the looks of them!
The main reason I wanted to remove the safety valves was to rectify what I consider to be the main flaw in this suit. Again, a flaw caused by Hongyi not understanding exactly what I wanted. I was warned to be detailed in my requests to them. I guess I just didn't try hard enough. I shouldn't complain though. They did make the inside pink like I wanted!!!
Anyway, back to the reason I removed the safety valves. Well Hongyi made the suit in a way that they had made one version of their Toothless suit. Adding a bunch of little round welds creating a sort of dented surface resembling a golf ball. It can be likened to wearing a single layer suit over a suit made of bubble wrap! That means that there are three layers to this suit. Two inner layers that inflate and one outer layer that has the paint scheme. I managed to mod each chamber to allow inflation to occur between the inner and middle layers and the middle and outer layers. It was very difficult.
My next suit from them will hopefully only be two layers. I will have to be more specific about that in the future. I do think that the three layers and chamber layout from the mods I did will actually made this suit extra padded feeling! I think the inflation will be very evenly spread around me when I wear it.
Obviously the head is not attached as I had asked for, but I think this may have worked out for the best in the end. At least it means that I can wear it separately if I want to. I can't think of a reason why I would not want to encase myself in the whole suit though!!!
Also, the suit is a little short. I gave them more than enough measurements. In fact, I sent them a whole anatomy diagram listing at least 15 different dimensions. But still they did not get the measurements right. It's not too far off though. I'll be sure once I actually try it on.
I must say too, that there are a lot of people who don't like Hongyi and I know they have perfectly good reasons. But Hongyi makes suits and I love them for it and hope to see so much more like this! They can have %10 of my annual income in exchange for such things!

Most inflatable suits are either of they type you mentioned or made of dual layered latex. Inflatable Vinyl suits are not very common at all. At least, they weren't until Hongyi came around and started making them about six months ago.
PVC holds a special place in my heart. I hope that they will only grow to become more common and better over time!

I agree! I hope to see many more like this in the future! I would like to get some more as well!
Hongyi came up with the hole in the top of the hood. But I found that just as much air came in from the neck, it wasn't hard to breath while wearing. Even with my modifications that make the hood press in around the face more.
The price was around $1800 USD.

Interesting... I sent them an idea for a two layer fat dragon suit.

Suggested that the main inflation valve be under the chin. So it would be easy for me to inflate on my own. And also make it look like a pool toy/inflatable, with the main zipper being underneath, like Squeak Latex do with some of thiers.
That was in Aug, suit was not made, but it looks like they took my idea for the valve placement.

I suppose that's true. I even thought that myself when rationalizing. But I think that the slight differences in the artwork make the toy look better! Much more appealing in my eyes!
I had seen the suit made from two PP vixens, but I was not as struck by it until I saw the sequence you posted! That was when I realized how much I wanted to be a toy like that! And to get a suit made was about the only way that was ever going to happen!
