Gillie and her girlfriend Idrisah, both of whom work as xenointerpreters. Gillie specializes in the major ferret tactile sign languages, and is one of the few humans who can keep up with ferrets’ speed of conversation. Idrisah specializes in interpreting the major avian languages, although she (like any other WT human) can’t actually speak any of them.
