Okay so here is a bit last of a halloween theme of b-movie costumes. I got a bit dorked out and was hemming and hawing, trying to not pick Metropolis, but did in the end because so many costumes are kinda dumpy in early sci-fi or like a proper b movie, lots of white and boobs flashing XD . Men usually have the short end of the sexy stick so I went with one of my favorite costumes, which is from Planet of the Vampires. I love their helmets and collars.
Runner ups were:
Aelita, Queen of Mars
Things to Come
Moon Two Zero
Message from Space
Queen of Outer Space (not really a B IMO)
I was being a cosplay purist XD

There were so many interesting outfits but an incredible lack of costumer archives for them. I've always been huge into set, costume and design.
Dad was big on theaters via movies and we had the Royal theater in Guadalupe that he patron-ed and tired to keep alive that pretttty much just did bmovies (Mexican ones too <3), rocky horror, and the last chance for films (kinda past the cheap seats and into what modern film has the cheapest reel to rent? Oh my lord I hated working the projection room in the Titanic days =.=) The Pharaoh/Exodus set from Cecil B. DeMille’s first (1923) cinematic account of the Ten Commandments story was done right on the beach there too. Heck then in Santa Maria the airport's museum and one house in my hometown are from the Rocketeer XD
I was always a mega geek for golden age and used to get so mad at mystery science theater because I loved the movies they poked fun at (even though now it is grueling to have to watch just to see good caps of full body costume shots XD)
Moon Two Zero I am surprised is not a huge latex fetish underground thing. I found the best archive of the space suits from a collector, and was amazed at how much that could transfer to the fetish scene. However, the costume I best liked was the hardest to get a detailed look at for Shara. (Cop lady's with the tall boots and jumper dress)
I tried to avoid the Barbarella thing just because movie hipster? :f The Vampires movie is sort of slow for most people's taste and nothing too crazy happens. Great costumes though. My hands down favorite movie of all time since I was a grade schooler is Jean Cocteau's Belle et la Bete and I can't get anyone to watch it because its frankly boring for most folks.
