A most fascinating specimen!

What great fortune!
Not too long into my expedition of this place, I have come across a a local human. As I pen this journal, this human is the only specimen within my visual range and it appears that he is no hurry to vacate anytime soon.
As I spend a few moments observing it, I have come across some peculiarities about it that separate this particular individual from the humans back home. For one, his clothing choice appears most odd to me. I am not too familiar with human fashion in New Draoth, but even I can tell that it would unlikely to find anything similar in design.
I have studied the equipment he carries with him in order to determine what kind of human he is. It looks as if he carries a staff, though I have never seen a more odd design of such. I have pondered that he could be a mage, but he doesn't have the look one.
I will have to get closer in order to get more detailed observations and every bit of common sense is telling me it is a bad idea to even attempt such a move, but I cannot deny my overpowering curiosity.
I will move to see if I can grab a better vantage point and...

This is a picture of story I had written out some time ago. I had posted some on my DeviantARt page, but the rest is on my PC, constantly being edited for grammar and new ideas.
These two are original characters of mine.
Korlon, the young dragon scholar and William, the young human mercenary.
Korlon had wanted to come to our Earth to study humanity's evolution, especially different than what it is back at his home. I had it where dragons came to Earth briefly several hundred years ago roughly around the fall of the Byzantine Empire and brought some humans back. Those humans would evolve very differently in many ways after spending several hundred years in another world of dragons.
This observation is taking place in Tucson, Arizona in the year 1987. William here is a gun for hire and had barely escaped an assassination attempt regarding a shipment of cocaine he had waylaid with his mentor. His mentor is presumed dead after the group the had stolen the drugs from tracked them to a motel and started shooting. After escaping to a parking lot and certain he hadn't been followed, he settles down for a quick cigarette to rest for a bit before moving on to find shelter.
The reason why Korlon's entry is cut off is because while he was so excitedly penning down his discovery, he just realized that William had spotted him.
What happens next you might wonder? I'll see if I can get another pic out.

Neither had I! It's all coming back now......There was Rosebud, the leader who was paired with her. And then there was that guy who was a good cook? Individually they all were extremely formidable. And they were all lead (Or formed?) By the Chairman, who had many evil intentions. The soldiers themselves weren't exactly evil, but they wouldn't hesitate to start a fight if there was something they were after. It was more of a case they'd only be a threat if a faction stood in the way of their objectives.
I had likened them in ways to the West Coast Brotherhood of Steel and some aspects of the Enclave and the Replica Forces from FEAR were included, at least in the way they dealt with things. Whilst their long-term goals were unknown, they weren't the sort to go about and murder people and steal if it wasn't relevant to any objective they had in mind.
Once they DID have on in mind, stay out of the way and you won't get hurt was the general advice they would give to others.
I remember the chef all right. He was an Italian and his name was "Grinder" as he was also a heavy weapon specialist and he would GRIND enemies with the same amount of enthusiasm with they way he would GRIND beef to cook.
Man...Memories...

Ah yeah, Fallout was actually sort of how the RP started to begin with. Frank Horrigon was defeated by Zoidius, who was then captured by Liberty prime under the control of the enclave but then became frenzied and attacked everything. At some point Zoidius made his own power Armor! .....I'm still wondering how that happened.
Yeah, they were a neutral party, but one no one could afford to make enemies with, not even the dark master.
That was it! that was his name! I remember now......heh, he was a pretty cool character among the other soldiers.
How long ago did this even take place??

Let me put it like this.
Holt is not rude. He can be quite charming if one were to find some common ground with him. He's not opposed to working with someone on something.
If conflict were to arise between Zoidius and Holt, it would more likely be because they have radically differing opinions on how to handle the task at hand, rather than clashing personalities.
Korlon and Holt, one naive the other more cynical, have gotten into arguments plenty of times and were extremely close to fighting each other because of how Holt handled an issue. Korlon had called him a savage monster and Holt, while admitting what he did was distasteful, counters that in his line of work and the people he dealt with, it's only natural he committed the act he did and has no regrets to the matter.
Zoid and Holt, if they were to hit off badly at first meeting and Zoid would likely not make his dislike unknown and Holt would likely be curt in his conversation and keep in mind potential ways to try and kill Zoid if dislike transforms into physical hostility.
