yeah, good ol 40k. my roomate may start a nid army. get alot of things making it hard to kill them all XD

I play a nid army.. have about 2k points worth.. mostly heavy.. though.. only 2nd Gen..

Id update.. but im in college with no money.. >.>

I played a 16 player mega battle and won first place by killing the most and loosing the least amount of guys..
I didn't waste precious points on the cannon fodder.
So I mainly brought out the heavy guys,

1 Totall Melee Carnifex
1 750 point Hive Tyrant(he was a force to fear)
1 licter
1 squad of genestealers
2 biovores

The Hive Tyrant caught a squad of space marines huddled inside some ruins..
so hw climbed over the broken down wall, using thoes lictor esq tentacle graber things(totally forget the name of it) and cut down the squad befor they could mount an offensive.

I wish i had the money to upgrade and play again

just buy the battle for maccrage and you get some gaunts and gene stealers and the new rulebook. for 45 bucks, its better than spending 50 for the hardcover which is filled half with fluff anyway. the smaller bible is ALOT better XD then you can sell the marines, or use them for conversions or something, and you also get terrain!

god.. i dont need more cannon fodder..

Ahh, the good old menace of the universe's greatest predator, the nids are great fun though I remember facing the Iron Warriors, 1500pts and I got wiped out by the end of turn 2.

LOL. i remember in highschool i saw this guy at a job fair bring his 1000 pts ultramarines army and basically let us play on a table top. we asked him how much he spent on the army itself, and he said around 500 bucks. i swore i would never get into something that "stupid" but here i am, about 800 bucks into my army and STILL i wanna keep on going XD

me and a mate of mine won best sportmenship at a doubles tournament a few months back, and when asked if we won anything for it, we were told that we had won the love and respect of our peers.

Ya, I've been playing guard for the past seven years so I've seen or done it all!

Tyranids.. dead on turn 2, Inquisition... turn 3, orks... turn 3, but marines, now THERES the challenge.

Looks like a force ready for combat!

ohh yes it is! and very lethal against guardsmen.. XD

Oh and a word to the wise, if you face guardsmen and he/she fields a Conscript Platoon, be affraid!

In the past month my one 20 man conscript unit has crewed through 4 chaplains, 1 librarian, 3 full stregnth assault-marine units and an entire brood of genestealers.

Whoever you were playing obviously had little grasp of tactics, or the meaning of COVER. Granted without seeing the battlefield its hard to say, but...

My favorite tactics vs Tau and/or Guardsmen is drive out my Land Raider Prometheus, and put both tactical squads, both Dreadnoughts, and my HQ in drop pods, and then just use the Improved Comms on the LRP to get free rerolls on any that I fail each round, and as the sky turns blue and gold, I land right next to those poor poor guardsmen and unleash a hail of bolter fire, then charge into close combat and tear them a freaking new one. Marneus Calgar alone can typically account for 5+ dead guardsmen per turn, assuming he doesn't shoot them with his Storm Bolter.

Nicely painted. I myself collect Space marines. Omegamarines. Barely get to play myself. Last time was at gamesday 06 in baltimore maryland. I see you have a newer MK. Vindicator tank from your other picture. I have a older generation Vindicator.

My father himself bought that big box of tyranids from the new uypgrade for them. HE wasted his money..only painted 1 so far. Also he has a box of chaos. Got to love the thousand sons. ^_^

Anyway hope to see these marines of yoru in action in some battle pictures.
