this will either be great or a total fail, only time will tell, hopefully I wont be wasting money in this project, of course this isnt the biggest project I got in my mind (I got a taur suit idea in there) but still would be disappointed if I failed, but ive been thinking of making some digitigrade stilts out of mainly pvc, my main goal with this design is believable foot movement, and hopefully be able to support my weight (I only weigh 95 pounds so it should be fine) I mean, ive seen people make stilts out of wood and steel mostly, but why not pvc? its lightweight and easy to work with, and slim too, so I figure, why not make my own design after studying my pets legs

yea i can see it work in my mind too :p
but lotsa presure on the toes... hm... maybe there should be a plate that places the presure on the whole foot so that the toes arent the weakest part of the whole thing but thats just my idea and i dont even know how to do that :P
edit: hope it works out for you, leme know if it works :o

yeah, I thought about that too, but I want the toes to move individually for added realism, but if that proves too fragile ill just make the whole bottom of the foot out of a slab of wood
I hope that it works, of course whether it works or not I will post it here, so youll see it

and i basically made the feet separate from the stilts themselves which just end in a ball, the feet of course are sockets so you can switch them out. the problem here is you have to make the socket in a very specific way with guides to give it some stability and direct the movement of essentially the "ball" of your stilts foot
