A poem I wrote to someone to hopefully cheer them up, nothing much but it's something. Maybe someone will find it moving and hopefully make there day just a bit brighter.
The Rose in the ShadeAlong the path least traveled, within the shade of a might oak I spy a sadden Rose.
It's thorns on full display, it's leafs are brown and yellow, its buds are close.
I could not help but stop and wonder why such a noble flower would hide its power.
So I move the shade, provide some water, and whisper confidence into the flower.
For maybe now its power of beauty untold will show, from the dirt it arose.
